The Zinc Task Force

The Zinc Task Force (ZTF) was formed as a collaborative working group among UNICEF, WHO, JHSPH, and USAID with support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to accelerate the adoption of zinc for diarrhea management.

During the grant period (Sept 05 - May 07), the ZTF: 1) identified the steps needed for successful country adoption of zinc for diarrhea management; 2) worked with partner organizations to increase the number of countries with strategies for incorporating zinc into national programs; and 3) monitored country progress in achieving these objectives around the world.
